A foreclosure notice feels like the end. It isn't. Depending on your situation there may be several paths open — and the sooner you understand them, the more of them you keep. Here's what exists, and who actually carries each one out.
Servicers are slow, hard to reach, and the paperwork is designed by people who do this every day for people who never have. That's genuinely difficult to face alone — but it matters who helps, and how.
We don't negotiate with your lender and we don't take your financial records. What we do is work out which path fits, explain what the servicer will ask for so you walk in prepared, and connect you with the person who can actually act — a HUD-approved counselor, a foreclosure defense attorney, or us as your listing agent if selling is the answer.
Receiving foreclosure papers does not mean you have to move out. In New York you generally have the right to stay in your home until a sale is complete — often well over a year. Leaving early is one of the most common and expensive mistakes people make, and it's how houses end up abandoned. More on that here.
No cost, no obligation, nothing to sign. Just a straightforward conversation about where you stand and what's possible. The earlier we talk, the more options are still open.
Four boxes. Nothing about your finances.
We'll call you back within one business day.
